Tasting Notes:

A clean fruit-forward representative of single varietal Ribera tempranillo. There is slight use of oak (a mere four months) allowing the ripe strawberry and blackberry in. Power and a long finish surprise for the price. Perfect with stews and roasts.

The Santa Eulalia winery is located in La Horra, Ribera del Duero. Founded in 1950, it was one of the first wineries to form and join the Ribera del Duero appellation. It is 76 km from Burgos and 7 from Roa. The winery, consisting of 210 hectares (519 acres), sits at 802 m (2,631 ft) above sea level.

After alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel, the run off is settled before transfer into 225L new oak barrels. Here they remain for four months before bottling. The wines are kept in the winery for at least six months before commercial release.
